Structure, Affiliation & Player Progression System
The Gautam Budh Nagar Carrom Association (hereinafter referred to as “the Association”) is a registered body primarily responsible for promoting, regulating, and governing the sport of Carrom in Gautam Budh Nagar District, Uttar Pradesh. The Association is affiliated with Uttar Pradesh Carrom Association.
1. Exclusive District Authority
The Association shall be the only recognised body in Gautam Budh Nagar District authorised to select district-level Carrom players and teams for participation in State-Level Carrom Competitions organised under Uttar Pradesh Carrom Association.
2. District-Level Competitions
To identify and select players from Gautam Budh Nagar District, the Association shall organise District-Level Carrom tournaments/events for residents within the jurisdiction of the district.
Participation in higher-level competitions is strictly routed through these district-level events.
3. Affiliation of Institutions
The Association may grant affiliation to:
- Schools
- Colleges
- Clubs
- Sports organisations
Eligibility requires these organisations to actively promote Carrom and conduct annual Carrom tournaments.
Affiliated organisations, upon obtaining full membership, shall become part of the Association’s official structure.
4. Player Registration
The Association shall maintain a formal registration system for individual players who wish to participate in Association-organised events.
Only registered players shall be eligible for selection and progression to higher-level competitions.
5. Competitive Pathway (Player Progression System)
Players aspiring to compete at State, National, and international levels must progress through the following structured pathway:
Step 1: District Level (Gautam Budh Nagar)
- Players represent their school/college/club/organisation.
- Competition conducted within Gautam Budh Nagar District.
- Top performers (generally Top 4–6 players) are selected.
- Selected players are recognised as District Champions / District Representatives.
Step 2: State Level (Uttar Pradesh)
- Selected district players represent Gautam Budh Nagar in State Championships organised by the Uttar Pradesh Carrom Association.
- Players compete with representatives from other districts.
- Top performers (generally Top 4–6 players) are selected for higher representation.
- Winners are recognised as State Champions.
Step 3: National Level (India)
- Selected players from state teams compete at National-Level tournaments.
- Players represent their respective states.
- Top-ranked players (generally Top 4) are selected at national level.
- Winners are recognised as National Champions.
Step 4: International Level (World Stage)
- Top national players may be selected to represent India in international competitions.
- Events are organised under bodies such as the International Carrom Federation.
- Top players globally compete for the title of World Champion.
